06.10.2016. Polish example of decentralization reform for Ukraine: lessons learnt. European Dialogue


Poland was one of the first Ukraine’s partners on the beginning of reforms process in 2014 and has given a valuable expertise in many areas, namely in decentralization sector. From September 29th to October 1st, Lublin (Poland) hosted a Congress of Eastern European Initiatives, where one of the panel discussions was dedicated to implementing Polish practice to the process of decentralization in Ukraine.

The aim of the discussion was to evaluate expectations of Ukrainian administration and non-governmental organizations about Poland development aid to Ukraine. The conclusions made during the discussion will be processed by a group of Ukrainian and Polish experts and given as recommendations to Ukrainian government.
