The Executive Team is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the organisation. The Team implements decisions of the General Assembly and the Board and provides proposals for future development to the governing bodies.
Dr. Olena Prystayko
Dr. Olena Prystayko is Executive Director and Co-founder of the Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels. Prior to this, she worked at the Council of Europe (2013); Anti-Discrimination Centre “Memorial” and the “Sova” Center (representation in Brussels (2012)); EU-Russia Centre in Brussels (2008 – 2011); Razumkov Centre in Kyiv (2006-2007); National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (2005 – 2010); Centre for Peace, Conversion and Foreign Policy of Ukraine (2005 – 2006); Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation, Regional Office to Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova in Kyiv (2003) and the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University (2001-2002). For the last 13 years she is a co-author of Chapter „Ukraine“ in the Freedom House publication „Nations in Transit“. She obtained her PhD in Political Sciences from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University (Ukraine), and her LL.M. in European Law from the Europa-Institut, University of Saarland, Saarbrücken, Germany.
Liudmyla Goncharenko is Communication Manager of the Office. Liudmyla holds a Master of Arts in European Studies from RWTH Aachen (Germany) and a M.A. in English language and literature from Kharkiv National V.N. Karazin University. Prior to joining the Office Liudmyla gained extensive experience in various aspects of communications through internships in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Ukraine and in the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany, and while working in the International Office of the RWTH Aachen and various youth organisations in Aachen and Berlin.
Next to her mother tongues, Ukrainian, she is fluent in written and spoken English, German and Russian, and has an intermediate knowledge of Italian.
Angel Labrusse joined the Office in December 2016 as a member of the Brussels UkraineLab 2017 Team. Now, he is a Assistant to the Executive Director. Angel holds a M.A. in Political Science, with a specialisation in EU governance and Public Affairs, from Pantheon-Sorbonne University (Paris, France). He developed his professional experience through several internships at the Federation of Regional Growth Actors in Europe (FEDRA), a European network defending the interests of the European regions and their economic actors.
Angels’ areas of interest include EU decision-making process, regional policies and EU foreign policy
Oleksandr Tsurenko is IT Manager and provides website support.
