Briefing “Black Sea Security 2020: Chaotisation is going on”


The Centre for Global Studies “Strategy XXI” held a briefing “Black Sea Security 2020: Chaotisation is going on” on 21 January 2020 in the press-centre of the IA “Glavcom”, in the framework of the project “Promoting Security in the Black Sea Region through Greater Engagement of Non-Governmental Organisations” with the support of the Black Sea Trust Fund, a project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

Mykhailo Gonchar, President of the Centre “Strategy XXI”, presented a new issue #4 (36) of the Black Sea Security journal, which is available here.

Vitalii Martyniuk, Executive Director and Project Manager, presented the results of the monitoring of security situation in the Black Sea – Azov region, outlined in the policy brief “Black Sea Security 2020: Chaotisation is going on” (PDF).

Andrii Klymenko, Head of the Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies and Coordinator of the UA Marine Expert Platform, informed about the continuation by Russia the actions to block Ukraine’s opportunities in the Black Sea.
