On the 18th October 2016 Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels together with Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) held a conference which addressed the main finsings of the report “Not So Quiet on the Eastern Front: An Audit of the Minsk Agreements and Ukraine’s Reintegration Options”.


On the 26th of September, the Reanimation Package of Reforms, the European Endowment for Democracy, Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels and the Institute of World Policy held a panel discussion called “Ukraine Reforms: Roadmap for Success”.


On September 15-16th, was held the workshop “Strengthening Ukrainian Think Tanks: Institutional Capacity Building and Empowering Cooperation with Partners from the EU” for the representatives of Ukrainian think tanks.


On July 8 – 10, the 24th Conference of the young Eastern Europe experts (JOE-Tagung) “Local, regional, (trans-)national: New Research on Eastern Europe” took place at the European Academy Berlin. With support of the Research Centre for East European Studies, Bremen and the German Association for East European Studies (DGO), 34 junior researchers from different disciplines presented their work.


On July 3-6 Ukrainian experts – Iryna Sushko, Kateryna Kulchytska (Europe Without Barriers), Taras Doroniuk and Andriy Solodko (CEDOS), Olena Halushka (Reanimation Package of Reforms) and Sergiy Sydorenko (European Pravda) held a working visit to Brussels on advancing the EU-Ukraine dialogue on visa liberalisation.


The Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels (further the Office) continues its work towards ensuring visa-free regime between the EU and Ukraine. On July 3-6 experts of the CSO Europe Without Barriers, CEDOS, Reanimation Package of Reforms and journalist of the “European Pravda” joined their efforts during the working visit to Brussels.

On the 24th of June 2016 in Bonn, Germany, the Women in International Security Association held an information seminar on Ukraine’s crisis. Against the background of massive propaganda and disinformation campaigns from Russia, it is increasingly important to publicly discuss Ukraine’s military conflict in the EU in order to provide details and the information from Ukraine to the interested audience in the EU.

On the 21th of June 2016 Olena Prystayko, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels, and Iryna Sushko, Executive Director of the Office’s member organization – “Europe without Barriers” and National Coordinator of the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Forum, participated in the meeting of the Committee on the Ukraine – EU Parliamentary Association, which was held at the European Parliament in Brussels.

On 17 – 18 of June in Amsterdam, the German informal network of junior corruption researchers KorrWiss with financial support of the Dutch Science Foundation initiated an international, interdisciplinary forum “How to research corruption?”

On 4th June 2016, the Ukrainian Think Tank Liaison Office in Brussels joined the rally in support of Ukrainian and Georgian citizens being allowed to travel visa-free to the Schengen area, which took place near EU institutions in Brussels.
