On 25 April 2017, in Kyiv was held a public discussion on the “Presentation of the public opinion survey on human rights in Ukraine”. This is the first such a profound survey in Ukraine on how Ukrainians understand their rights, whether they are ready to defend their rights and how they understand certain rights or provision of rights for certain society groups.
On 24 April 2017 in Kyiv took place an international round-table discussion “EU global strategy: role, place and contribution of Ukraine“organized jointly by the Centre for Global Studies “Strategy XXI”, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research (UCIPR) and the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association.
On 21 April 2017 a group of experts preseted results of the monitoring of the Association Agreement Implementation in the sphere of energy and environment in 2016 and discussed the consequences of further delay with the fulfillment of the obligations.

Representatives of leading civil-society organizations, the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine and MPs discussed at the international conference “Guaranteeing the Voting Rights of IDPs in Ukraine”, which took place on March 24, 2017 in Kiev, the ways of guaranteeing voting franchise for IDPs in Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Social Policy, there are 1,622,835 IDPs in Ukraine as of March 2017. Thus, due to the lack of legislative regulation, nearly 4% of Ukrainian electorate is deprived of the right to vote.
On 23 March 2017, in Lviv took place a public discussion of the Concept of e-democracy in Ukraine and the Action plan for its first-stage implementation. Participants discussed the content of the Concept as well a learned about the existent and planned processes of e-declaration in Ukraine. From the 24th of March till the 2nd of April will be held online consultations on the projects of laws and regulations.
On 22 March 2017, in Kharkiv took place a large-scale conference “Development of centres for administrative service provision, social services integration and assistance to IDPs”. Its participants learned about the best European practices regarding the work of centres for administrative service provision (CASPs) as well as the ways to integrate social services in the work of CAPS.
How does civil society develop in Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova? How does the difficult legacy of the Soviet period affect the formation of civic values? Participants of the international conference on “Civil Society in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova” have tried to answer these questions. The conference took place in Minsk on March 15, 2017.
