Presentation of the SIPRI Yearbook 2016: armaments, disarmament and international security


On 20 June 2018, the presentation of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Yearbook 2016: Armaments, Disarmament and International Security was held at the Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

The event was attended by:

  • Oleksiy Melnyk, Co-director of foreign relations and international security programs at the Razumkov Centre;
  • Mykola Sunhurovskyi, Director of military programmes at the Razumkov Centre;
  • Representatives of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defenсe of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine.

The Yearbook is being prepared by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) since 1969. Now it is recognised as one of the most authoritative sources of information in the area of international security and is translated into Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Japanese and Ukrainian.

The Ukrainian edition of the SIPRI Yearbook was launched by the Razumkov Center with the financial support of the Government of Switzerland in 2000. It is provided free of charge to the central authorities, leading universities and public libraries. The electronic version of the SIPRI Yearbook is available on the website of the Razumkov Center.
