Priorities of Cooperation with the EU in the Areas of Law Enforcement, Fight with Organised Crime, Cybersecurity and Personal Data Protection
This document is prepared by “Europe Without Barriers” under the aegis of Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum with the support of European Union and International Renaissance Foundation within the framework of Civic Synergy project.
The paper considers further development and actions of Ukraine aimed at implementing of specific chapters of the New EU-Ukraine Agenda on Justice, Freedom and Security, namely the law enforcement, fight with organised crime, cybersecurity and personal data protection.
Ukraine has drafted a New Agenda on Justice, Freedom and Security within the framework of the EU-Ukraine Association Council. It has established new tasks within the realms of the implemented Visa Liberalisation Action Plan and the Association Agreement that is in the process of implementation.
The agenda was presented at the EU-Ukraine summit in summer 2018. The EU-Ukraine Association Council further discussed it and agreed to continue cooperation in justice and home affairs in December.
