Regional media journalists learnt about the status of implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU

On September 26, more than 30 representatives of regional media had a meeting with the high-ranking officials of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Press briefing for journalists from regional media was held under the project “Accurately reflecting the Ukraine – European Union Association Agreement in Ukrainian media” with the assistance of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze,  Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, informed journalists about the current situation with the implementation of the Association Agreement. According to her, the greatest progress has been made in energy sector.

Volodymyr Omelyan,  Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine, noted that one of the current priorities for the ministry is restoration of the regional airports.

Mykola Kuzio, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine on European Integration, told about Ukraine’s approach to the European environmental standards.

Such meetings with the representatives of Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration are an effective tool for communicating the processes of European integration of Ukraine within the framework of regional context.

The project is conducted by the Solidarity Fund PL in cooperation with NGOs Internews-Ukraine and Tovarystvo Leva.
