Russian Octopus in Action: Case “Ukraine”
The Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI presented a research “Russian Octopus in Action: Case “Ukraine”, prepared by the expert group of the Project “Russian Lobbism in Ukraine in the context of elections-2019: Sources, penetration channels, prevention mechanisms” with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
The research discloses the Russian influences, lobbying and subversive activities in Ukraine in the conditions of the hybrid aggression unleashed by Russia, which has been going on for the seventh year.
It covers a wide range of issues related to informational influences, propaganda, systematic long-term activities aimed at creating informal groups of influence, non-governmental organisations, the media, and other elements of Russia’s extensive network of influence in society and governmental bodies. The problem of creation and functioning of business structures, which feed the relevant networks and covertly contribute to the spread of Russian influence in various spheres of public life and at different levels of the power, is considered.
