Smart infrastructure in sustainable urban development: world experience and Ukraine’s prospects


The Razumkov Centre has presented its publication “Smart infrastructure in sustainable urban development: world experience and Ukraine’s prospects”.

The publication presents an Analytical Report, which summarises the existing approaches to determining the content, prerequisites, main determinants of the process of digitalisation and dissemination of digital technologies, as well as identifies the current state and prospects of smart infrastructure development in sustainable urban development in the world and Ukraine.

The report analyses current trends in the implementation of the Smart City concept in sustainable urban development with special attention to the megatrends of structural changes in the world economy through the prism of digital technology, digitalisation and rapid urbanisation. The main characteristics and functions of smart infrastructure, obstacles to its development, potential advantages and challenges of implementing smart technologies in the physical infrastructure of the city are considered in detail. A separate section is devoted to the world experience of smart infrastructure development in terms of legislative, institutional and financial support.
