The second anniversary of Zelensky’s presidency: assessments of experts and journalists


The expert survey “The second anniversary of Zelensky’s presidency: assessments of experts and journalists” was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation from May 18 to June 8, 2021. A total of 65 respondents were interviewed.

General assessment of the activity of President Volodymyr Zelensky. In general, respondents evaluate Volodymyr Zelensky’s activity rather indirectly. The average score of the President for the second year is 3.9 points out of 10 possible. At the same time, this figure is better than in his first year in office. Then the respondents rated the efficiency of the head of state at 3.1 points.

Key achievements of President Zelensky during the second year of his activity. Respondents are most positive about the closure of pro-Russian TV channels – 81% of respondents have noted this as an achievement. It is also noticeable that the introduction of the “state in a smartphone” initiative is relatively approved – 47% of marks. Regarding other potential achievements, the respondents are far from unanimous in assessing their positive nature.
