Ukraine’s Resilience Level: Economic, Political, and Security Developments

Ukraine has once again been dominating headlines with the recent build-up and subsequent withdrawal of Russian troops and artillery at the country’s unstable Eastern border. However, the question of security is only one of the many issues facing Ukrainians. Political instability and sluggish economic growth have been accompanying the country in recent years. Additionally, the extraordinary conditions caused by the pandemic have impacted the path to reform.

The Martens Centre, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels, aims to address these issues and discuss the pace and dominant players in Ukrainian developments. Moreover, we will take security questions into account – What impact did the recent Russian military pressure have on Ukraine’s internal and external policies? What assistance can the international community provide? Join us for an engaging discussion!
