Which countries will be superpowers in 2030: what do people in the world and Ukraine think about it?

At the end of 2020, the Gallup International Association (not to be confused with Gallup Inc. or Gallup Poll) conducted a global study, which, in particular, included the following questions: 1) which countries will be superpowers in 2030; 2) is their impact (de)stabilising? The survey covered 45 countries and territories of the world, more than 42 thousand citizens, representing about 2/3 of the world’s population. In Ukraine, the study was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
The most interesting for Ukrainians, obviously, are the assessments of the prospects of the world’s four largest centres of power: the United States, Russia, China and the EU.
Risks of the Chinese “superpower” – Ukrainians do not see them yet.
World public opinion is increasingly presenting current international relations as bipolar (U.S.-China). The opinion of Ukrainians practically coincides with the “world average”: 55% of Ukrainians see China as a superpower in 2030 (27% – do not see).
